Cheap scooters are a great way to save money in the middle of an economy that is struggling to dig itself out.  Scooters and mopeds can give you gas mileage of up to 80 miles to the gallon and they are also much safer than they used to be.  You still need to make sure though that you wear a helmet to not only be street legal but so you can be sure that if you ever fell off your scooter you would not suffer any serious head injuries.  Scooters can be fun but they can also be dangerous if you do not know what you are doing.
