My brother and I were about to start out own business.   We had a product and we had the way to put it together.  We had done a marketing study and there were enough people interested that we knew we would make a good profit and make it fairly rapidly.   All we needed was some financing to get us started.  The bank turned us down for the loan because my credit was poor.   I immediately ordered a free credit report to see what I had to do to improve my credit.  I was willing to do about anything to get the business off the ground.
