On the internet, writing for money can be as simple as talking about your favorite subject on a blog, and having pay-per-click advertising on the page for readers to click. But if you want to make the most money, it does matter what you write about. Why? Because whether you use pay-per-click advertising or affiliate programs, certain subjects have more profit potential.

For example, a poetry blog will probably net you only a few cents per click. On a fishing site you might find at best a trout-fishing ebook that pays you a $10 commission. On the other hand, a site about real estate will get closer to 40 or 50 cents per click, and a site about making money can promote products that pay $50 commissions. So consider that higher-value traffic when you are deciding what to make your website or blog about.
