I’m a retired Navy combat vet and I have courage to do any of those tasks. I never got overtime, my pension is 50% of base pay at retirement, I couldn’t buy extra years service, I couldn’t amass sick time and sell it back.

Nobody denies the good work policemen, firemen, nor teachers do. But, we do deny the ability of the unions to amass benefits advice beyond what any portion of the market will bear for the work actually done…

Teachers–Waiting for Superman

Cops–Name your city’s Blue Wall of silence on ferreting graft, rouge cops, excessive force, etc.

Firemen–In the Navy, we were always in the building (ship) with the fire, not pumping water in from outside ’till there was nothing left to save.

YES, cops get shot at and firemen do to into buildings to save people. They deserve credit for doing so, but most never do and not everyone’s a hero. They CHOSE the life. We should not romanticize their daily grind as justification for outrageous benefits for the many who never pulled their gun nor ever entered a building when their life was at risk.

You want better pay or benefits, great, but don’t steal from my family through the extra taxes I have to pay to cover benefits BOUGHT by UNION contributions to the POLITICIANS that raised your benefits. It’s a crock, and its criminal.

This was sort of okay because this gave me a chance to go online through my laptop. I went in search for ways to erase duplicates itunes.
