When I was growing up, I had a lot of dental work done due to gum disease and cavities. When I went away to college, we got a letter from my parents insurance company saying that I wasn’t eligible to be covered by them anymore, and I started to worry. I called a resident advisor, and she told me to apply for student dental insurance through our college. The cost was very reasonable, and it provided preventative services like cleanings as well as more comprehensive work. I’m so glad that I’m able to keep good coverage and not have to dip into my college fund for dental work!
