Heart Disease Risks for Women
Women can be exposed to a higher for heart disease if they are overweight or obese, smoke, diagnosed as diabetic or having high cholesterol. Similarly, if they are suffering from high blood pressure, have a family history of coronary disease, are menopausal, or are on birth control pills. Other common risk factors are exposure to stress, physically inactive, does not go for regular schedule visits to her doctor. Heart disease in women is actually very common. It is not a ‘man’s disease’ as is commonly misunderstood. So it is important for women to be more aware and take steps to prevent heart disease.
