My nine year old son was having a lot of trouble in school. He went from high marks to barely getting by. He wasn’t having any behavior issues, he just seemed to give up or something. Then his teacher shed some light on the situation when she told us she thinks he needs glasses. It turns out that he was afraid of looking “like a dork” so never told anyone when things started getting blurry. We had a long talk, and scheduled an appointment with the eye doctor. It’s funny, he ended up showing interest in the profession after seeing the instruments and optical biometer.
