My Father and I had a heart-to-heart discussion about the stock market a couple nights ago. Over the past year he has lost close to 36% of the value of his 401(k) plan. He has managed to shift his retirement assets into an annuity that has a guaranteed income stream. He also told me that he wanted to learn to make soap as kind of a sideline business. He said that there is a natural craft fair in Julian every Saturday night. People are coming together their to sell a lot of natural products. My father believes that homemade soaps would do well there.
