We’re on the road again this week, blasting the Grateful Dead channel all down the highway. It’s nice to have the satellite radio, though I sort of miss the days when we’d make mixtape cassettes for a trip like this.

We had some pretty good car rental codes this time, so we decided to splurge and rent a Mustang. Taking the top down was a lot of fun, but it didn’t do much for Ciara’s hair. Long hair and convertibles or motorcycles don’t mix too well. I finally got her a bandanna and that helped.

We’re probably headed for a time when cross country travel in a fast car isn’t practical, and maybe not even possible, so we’re gonna enjoy every minute of this trip.
