These standards are set in order to ensure that any radiology technologist who is working, has the proper training and the proper license needed in order to make sure that they understand the dangers of their job as well as knowing exactly what they are doing. The latest polls state that there are now 40 states that require a radiology tech to have the proper license and or certification before they will even be considered for a job in this field.
