My daughter had been working at her new job for a few weeks and was initially so happy to be working and earning her own money.  She would come home very excited and proud and tell me all about her day.  Then things started to change.  She seemed unhappy and wouldn’t talk about work anymore.  I found out that she was being harassed by a co-worker and nothing was being done about it.  I hired a Philadelphia labor law attorney to look into the problem and see why the employer was so nonchalant about the whole thing.  It took awhile but that co-worker got fired and the employer set up seminars for all the employees about the seriousness of harassment and how to stop it from occurring.  I wish my daughter didn’t have to have gone through all that but I am happy that we took action to make her workplace a lot more safe and professional.
