My uncle has always been very encouraging of my sports interests. Ever since young, he has always indulged my fancies and gone to great lengths to get me the sports equipment that I needed. Often times, it had led to some pretty hefty expenditures for him. But I did make it all worth his while when I ended up pursuing a professional career in tennis later in life. Undoubtedly, it was a result of all those years that he had supported me and encouraged me to always go that extra mile from where I’d been before.Looking back now, although I’ve had so much better quality sport supplies since the days when he used to be my financier, I still think the best tennis racket I ever owned was the first I ever had – the one that he had lovingly surprised me with many years ago.
